Russell W Tripp

Russell W. Tripp, Sr., 87, of Arvada, CO passed away November 30, 2013. He was born in Golden, CO on March 26,, 1926 and graduated from Golden High School and attended Red Rocks Community College. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II and returned to Colorado where he married Pat (Thelma), who would be his loving wife of nearly 60 years.

After leaving the Navy, Russ worked for the Coors Porcelain Plant as a Project Manager, and he had a passion for working with his hands. He and Pat traveled to all but 2 of the U.S. States together, and raised two children, Russ Jr. and Starla. Through their long retirement, Russ and Pat spent many years moving and remodeling homes and taking road trips to enjoy the country.

He is survived by his son, Russ Tripp, Jr. (Kathy); his son-in-law Robert Bobalek; two granddaughters, Valerie Bobalek and Jessica Bobalek, and one great-grandson, Isaiah Bobalek. Pat, Starla, and his sister Floriene preceded him in death.

Funeral Service will be held at Olinger Moore Howard Chapel at 11:00AM on Wednesday, December 11th with viewing at 10:00AM. Interment Golden Cemetery
