Terry Ray Hill

Terry Ray Hill, 75, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, surrounded by his sons at Intermountain Health Hospice in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Born November 2, 1950, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Raymond and Shirley Hill. He moved to Colorado in 1966 and graduated from East High School in Denver. He enlisted in the Colorado Army National Guard in 1970, serving for three years, and then served an additional three years in the Army Reserve until 1976.

Terry met the love of his life, Marcia Mae Mosel from Gurley, Nebraska and married in Sidney, Nebraska, on August 12, 1972. They lived in Commerce City, Colorado and then in Aurora, Colorado to begin raising their family. Terry started his career in commercial construction in 1969 as a union carpenter and quickly excelled in the commercial trades, including owning his own commercial door and hardware business for many years.

Terry was known for his helping hand to others, his strength, respect, and his ability to impact so many people on a personal level. He had a love for crossword puzzles and the ability to make people laugh with the occasional witty remark. He followed all the local sports teams and often had two TV’s on or listening to one of the games on the radio while watching the other. He always provided ever-loving support to his family, which in turn instilled a work ethic and compassion in his children.

Terry is survived by his three sons: Brandon Hill of Erie, Colorado with spouse Susan and grandchildren Mason Hill of Erie, Colorado, and Connor Hill of Tucson, Arizona; son Brent Hill and family of Evergreen, Colorado; and son Jarrett Hill and spouse Mai Samhouri of Elizabeth, Colorado. He is also survived by his brother Bruce Hill of Aurora, Colorado, and step nephews Chris and Johnny. Sister-in-law Sharon Draper of Plano, Texas; nephew Garner Draper with spouse Cory and great nephew Keith Draper of Plano, Texas; niece Gretchen Mosel of Friendswood, Texas; and nephew Doug Mosel with spouse Christy and great-nephew Davis and great-niece Berkeley of Wylie, Texas.

Terry was preceded in death by his father Raymond Hill; mother Shirley Hill; and brothers Steve, Danny, and David Hill.

Interment will take place next to his wife Marcia, at Eastlawn Cemetery in Aurora, Colorado.
