Theresa W. Blattner

Theresa (Terry) Wilma Blattner passed on to be with her Lord on July 28, 2016. Born on the family farm in Rush County, Kansas on the 21st of October, 1924 to William and Freda Becker. Terry is preceded in death by her parents and 4 of her 5 brothers, Harvey, Walter, Marvin, and Wesley. Terry is survived by her sister Mary Anne and brother Robert.

Terry married Joe L. Blattner on July 29th, 1944 and shared 60 years together until Joe’s death in 2004. The couple made a good team and together raised six children: Joseph Blattner, Jr. (Gerry); Patricia (Pat) Hodd (Don, deceased); Jerry Blattner (Kitty); Pamela (Pam) Blattner; Peggy Flynn; and William (Bill) Blattner (Monica). The couple has seven grandchildren: Adam, Anna, Sarah, Lisa, Kelsey, Eden, and Fallon and three great-grandchildren: Evan, Braden, and Kale.

Terry’s focus was on the home and family. A loving person with a generous nature she was a blessing to not only her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren but also the neighborhood children. Strong willed and reliable, she could be counted on for loving attention and gentle care.

Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, September 2, 2016, at 10:00 am at the Olinger Moore Howard Chapel, 4345 W 46th Ave, Denver, CO 80212. Interment at Ft. Logan Cemetery will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the National Alzheimer's organization.  http://www.alz.org/
