William was born May 5, 1933 in West Virginia to Stanley and Elsie Yates.
William was married to Ona Rae Yates on October 1, 1955. They were married for 67 wonderful years.
Ona preceded him in death on July 16, 2023.
William is survived his daughter Della Schmidt, Anita Lawrence, and Carla Sharrar. He was also preceded in death by son, Timothy Yates. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all that loved him.
A graveside service for William will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236.
