Dedicated wife, loving mother, dependent grandmother, sister, matriarch, Adelina, age 87, entered God’s heavenly kingdom on October 3, 2016. She exemplified the art of humility, ambition, forgiveness, and compassion. Born in San Rafael, Tarlac City, Philippines, Adelina was the eldest of six siblings. She was a devout Catholic and put Christ in the center of her life. In 1948, she married Meneleo David Manianglung. Together in Mapalacsiao, they raised six beautiful and successful children - Admen (Beth), Myrna, Jessie (Gloria), Vilma (Greg), Liza (Ernie), Ester (Jun). Meneleo and Adelina loved going on adventures together. When “Moon River” would play, Meneleo would look into her eyes, as if their admiration and love couldn’t grow any stronger. One of their final adventures was to America in 1981, where the family would begin a new chapter of their lives. As the years passed, Adelina was blessed with ten grandchildren (Carmen, Leomar, Chris, Grayson, Gringo, Kristin, Jean, Joyce, Justin , and Brianna) and two great-grandchildren (Christian and Dylan). She proudly taught them honorable virtues as she raised them as her own. Her legacy will be remembered and continue in all the lives she touched.
