Anita Veronica Dettmer

Visitation for Anita Veronica Dettmer (nee Bartz), 68, formerly of Itasca, will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Highway/ Route 14 at Rand Road), Des Plaines. The funeral will begin at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Zachary Church, for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Mrs. Dettmer went home Wednesday, March 31, 2010. First in her life was love of God, then her family. Her life was filled with family, friends, church activities and her work at Beeline Fashions, Des Plaines Lumber, LifeSource and the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. Anita was the beloved wife of Lawrence; dear mother of Brian and Thomas; beloved sister of Edward (Sharon) and Allan (Gail) Bartz; sister-in-law of John Dettmer; cherished aunt of Jessica Meyers, David and Steven (Elizabeth), Jeffery (Becky) Bartz, Jennifer (Jason) Sutter and Catherine (Justin) Williams; and fond great-aunt of Lauren, Logan and Brady. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Veronica (nee Botcheves); and her sister, Ilene (Wayne) Meyers.
