Barbara A. Rice of Des Plaines Visitation for Barbara A. Rice (nee Szabados), 75, will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7, at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Highway/Route 14 at Rand Road), Des Plaines. Prayers will be said at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 8, at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Mary Church, Des Plaines, for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery. Born Feb. 16, 1936, she died Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at home. She was the wife of William J.; mother of Tina T. (Curtis) Bohlmann, William J. (Rebecca) Rice Jr., Diane E. (Phil) Berg and Paul A. (Anne) Rice; grandmother of nine; and sister of Anton Szabados. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
