Carl J. Masek

Carl Masek passed away on July 9, 2015 in Huntley, IL. Carl was born on Feb 18, 1943 in Melrose Park, IL to Frederick and Lois (Howe) Masek. Both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his beloved partner Claudia, his dear brother Frederick, his niece Jennifer (Little), his nephew Kevin, his grandnieces Erika and Kaitlyn and his grandnephews Zachary and Damien. Carl served 2 tours in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. During this time he enjoyed traveling and tasting local foods. He also worked as an electrician for General Electric, a phone company and after retiring became a school bus driver. He enjoyed social interactions with friends and playing cards. Carl was a man who put others above himself and was very giving. Visitation will be from 3PM to 7PM Sunday, July 12 at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL. Services will start at 11:00 AM Monday, July 13 at Oehler Funeral Home followed by interment at Memory Gardens and Mausoleums, 2501 East Euclid, Arlington Heights, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Journey Care 405 Lake Zurick Road, Barrington, IL will be appreciated.
