Charles W. Schmidt, 87, of Des Plaines. Charles was born June 19,1928 in Chicago to the late Charles and late Lillian Schmidt and passed away November 5, 2015. Charles was the loving brother of the late Lucille (late Robert) Meyer, late Ruth (late Robert) Smith, late Marilyn (Late Henry) Lasko and late Arlene (late Robert) Riddel; caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday from 3-9pm at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (corner of Northwest Hwy/RT14 and Rand Rd.). Lying instate Friday from 10am until time of service 11am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 675 E. Algonquin Rd. Des Plaines. Interment Ridgewood cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
