Dennis Blenkle

March 11, 1943 – January 14, 2026

Dennis E. Blenkle, 82, of Rosemont, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home on January 14, 2026, in the presence of family.

He was born March 11, 1943, in Des Plaines, IL, to Eleanor Blenkle (née Butenschoen) and Edwin A. Blenkle. He is survived by his sister, Susanne (the late William) Tucker of Volo, IL, (who assumes care of his beloved pups Punkin and Blackie); his niece and goddaughter, Tamara (Mark) Foehring of Geneva, IL; and his nephew, David (Vicki) Tucker of Ingleside, IL. He is also survived by a grandniece and grandnephews: David Foehring, Mark Kreuz, Olivia (Miguel) Sandoval, and godson Preston Tucker.

His talents and interests ranged from cars, and motorcycles, to a passion for modifying snowmobiles, pushing the limits of performance. His later-in-life projects were smaller, but still crafted with perfection.

Dennis truly valued family relationships as well as the countless friendships he made throughout his life. He enjoyed mentoring people who shared his interests.

Dennis will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his honesty, integrity, and quiet sense of humor.

A visitation will be held at Oehler Funeral Home, located at 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL on January 22, 2026, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same venue from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at Mount Emblem Cemetery, 520 E Grand Ave, Elmhurst, IL on January 22, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
