Dina P. Margaritis, 89, of Mt. Prospect, passed away peacefully the afternoon of Sunday, May 4, 2025. Born July 29, 1935, in Sterna, Argolis, Greece to the late Demetrios and Ioanna Varelas; she was the beloved wife of 36 years of the late Petros Margaritis (d. March, 11, 1992). Adored mother of John (Eleni) Margaritis and Jim (Elaine) Margaritis; cherished grandmother of Connie (Jason) Mayer, Peter (Rachel) Margaritis, Samantha (Ben Cantrill) Margaritis, and Christopher Margaritis; dear great grandmother of Luke, Sofia, and Gabrielle; and fond sister of the late Nicholas Varelas and the late Ageliki Presvelou. A longtime Steward of Holy Taxiarhai & St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, she will be greatly missed by family and friends across the United States and Greece.
