Ewa Maria Osinski

Ewa (Eva) Maria Osinski, Illinois, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 71. She was born on June 1, 1953, in Warsaw, Poland to Stanislaw Suracki and Aniela (Wieczorek) Suracki.

Settling in Des Plaines, Illinois, Eva built a life filled with love and opportunity for herself and daughter Joanna (Osinski) Vodicka. She worked at SEIU Local 1 (formerly known as Local 25) Benefits Fund Office for over 25 years where she dedicated her career to helping many people with their healthcare insurance needs. Eva cared deeply about others and selflessly helped anyone she came to know. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, and traveling. Eva frequently travelled to her home in Florida and Poland to visit family and friends and enjoy her hometown of Warsaw. Eva loved reading, gardening and politics.

Eva will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Joanna Vodicka (Michael); her grandchildren Allison and Jack; her sister Renata (Suracka) Hennig; her nieces Magdalena (Hennig) Wojtynska and Ewa Hennig along with their children and extended families and her companion Zenon Wegelnik.

Eva is preceded in death by her parents Stanislaw and Aniela (Wieczorek) Suracki.

A memorial service for Eva will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Oehler Funeral Home (2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL).
