

Iluminada L. Dulay, 85, of Des Plaines was born on November 29, 1935 to Pablo and Julieta (nee Banzuela) Lago and passed away on October 15, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Claro B. Dulay Sr. for 59 years; beloved mother to Nicolas (Sarah) Dulay, Susan (Jan) Wysocki, Marijo Dulay, Marimel Dulay, and Claro B. (Maya) Dulay Jr.; loving grandmother to Gina, Jamie, Mateo, Adelle, and Cristofer; dear sister to the late Maximo, Late Philemon, Late Elisa, Late Lawton, Late Leya, Late Domingo, Late Briccio, Late Jean; and fond aunt of Lago and Dulay in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Iluminada (Lumen) lived a life filled with great faith. She was active at St. Stephen’s Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister and as a CCD instructor; for years she was also a Volunteer of God in the Focolare Movement. She will be missed by many.
A Vigil (wake) will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 3-8 PM at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St., Des Plaines, IL. The formal prayer service will begin promptly at 7PM, followed by sharing and reminiscing on Lumen's life.
On Saturday, October 23 at 9:15 AM, prayers will begin at the funeral home and proceed to St. Stephen Protomartyr Church, 1280 Prospect Ave., Des Plaines, IL for the funeral Mass beginning at 10 AM. Committal and interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
