

Joan Bleiceffer, nee Aerts, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 15, 2022. She joins her beloved husband Joseph Bleiceffer (Joe) in heaven, along with all her family and life-long friends who passed before her. She is survived by her only child, Janice Forgue (Jan), Jan’s husband Kirk Forgue, who she loved like a son, the grandchildren she adored, Michelle Forgue and Kyle Forgue, and his wife Nicole (Nicki) Forgue and their children, Elisabeth (Ellie) and Amelia (Amy), her great-granddaughters.
Joan went to Northwestern to become a dental hygienist and practiced the professional she loved for over 45 years. She and Joe were married over 60 years and had a beautiful marriage. They both loved food, travel, collecting antiques, and each other, and took care of each other through sickness and health as they promised on their wedding day. They made Park Ridge, Illinois their home for over 50 years. Joan loved to swim, and participated in local senior Olympic type events, winning numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals. She was also an accomplished quilter and created beautiful quilts that she proudly displayed in her home and gifted to family.
Visitation will be held Tuesday December 27, 2022 from 9 AM until time of service, 11 AM, at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. Des Plaines, IL 60016. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery at 12:15 PM. Funeral info 847-824-5155 or oehlerfuneralhome.com.
