She was the loving and devoted wife to the late Matthew George Spatzek. Dedicated mother to Kristin (Ozzie) Skenderi. Cherished Grandmother to Marina Phoenix Skenderi and the late Nixon Matthew Skenderi. Daughter to the late Michele and the late Frances Matrosimone. Loyal Sister to Mary Rudnick, Lilla (the late Richard) Rink, Rose (Gerry) Pyter, and the late Salvatore Mastrosimone. Aunt to seven and great aunt to nine. Best friend to her “Club” members for over 60 years. Dog mommy to her fur babies Brandy, Jazmin and Bailey. Wonderful friend to many.
JoAnn was born and raised in Chicago. She attended Steinmetz High school before meeting the love of her life and settling in Des Plaines, IL to raise their daughter. She worked for 20 years at S&H Electric Company. In 2008, her and her husband retired to Bonita Springs, FL. She enjoyed reading, card games, entertaining, being the life of the party, hosting their annual Fourth of July parties, playing bocce ball, walking her dog, and getting together with friends and family. She was someone who would do absolutely anything for anyone and her number one priority was taking care of her family. But a special thank you goes out to the ones who took extremely good care of her these past few months. Heaven gained a good one.
