Karen was born in Chicago on February 6, 1948, the second of five siblings. She was married to the late Merle and raised two children, Brigette and Eric. She spent many years working at TTC and later at Dignity Memorial. She loved bowling and playing cards and made friends everywhere she went. A world traveler, Karen explored shops and bakeries from Michigan and Wisconsin to Portugal and Rome. She had a generous, kind, and fun-loving personality and opened her home to everyone, especially at the holidays.
Karen is survived by her daughter Brigette, son Eric and his wife Rebekah, grandson Jacob, brother Kerry, and sister Kathryn, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and their families. She will be deeply missed by her family and by an abundance of devoted friends.
Karen was greeted in heaven by her parents, Wilburt and Hilda, and her sisters, Betty and Sue.
