Katherine B. Downey

Katherine B. Downey, 95, of Park Ridge was born June 5, 1930, to the late Joseph Allseitz and the late Bertha Allseitz. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 5, 2026. Katherine was the beloved wife to the late Thomas W. Downey for 66 years; loving mother to Kathy (John) Patelski and Jim (Patti) Downey; cherished grandmother of Michael (Alison) Patelski, Dan (Melanie) Patelski, Marie, Laura, and Kathleen Downey; great grandmother of Brett and Graham Patelski; dear sister to the late Molly (late Karl) Berger and fond aunt of Doug (Louise) Berger and Barb (Ralph) Giordano. The family is very grateful for Katie’s wonderful caregivers Joana and Edna.

Visitation will be Saturday March 21, 2026, from 9am until 10:30am at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. Des Plaines, IL. 60016. We will then proceed to St Paul of the Cross Church 320 S Washington Ave Park Ridge, IL. 60068 for 11am Mass. Interment will be at Acacia Park Cemetery.
