Nora D. Zec

Nora lived in Chicago, Arlington Heights and Orland Park (IL) prior to moving to Bradenton in 1991.

An avid and lifelong Cub fan, Nora enjoyed all sports, her extended family, Italian cooking, and her many friends and loved ones. She will be missed by so many, and the Zec family extends sincere thanks to all those who loved her.

Nora was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Nicholas J. Zec, Sr.; son, James; brothers, John, Angelo (Antoinette) of Chicago, IL, Frank (Eleanor) of Omaha, NE, Joseph of Chicago, IL and sister, Rose of Chicago, IL. She is survived by her sons, Nicholas (Vicki) Zec and Michael (Jane Kopecky-Zec) Zec; daughter, Linda Zec; four grandchildren, Timothy (Molly) Prajka, Nicholas (Emma) Prajka, Alexander Zec and Cassandra Zec; brother-in-law, Cary Zec and sister-in-law, Darlene Zec of Elmhurst, Il, and many of her cousins, nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. Des Plaines, IL 60016. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at Oehler Funeral Home. Entombment will be at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, 700 N. River Rd. Des Plaines, IL 60016.
