At a very young age, Noreen dreamed big and wanted to “be somebody.” This would be a reoccurring theme throughout her life as Noreen sought to make an impact on everyone she met. After meeting her husband, Phil, and settling into their home in Mt. Prospect, Noreen took to being the best mother she could be. Her proudest accomplishments were seeing her children grow and become the people they are today. Instilling values that will no doubt be carried on to her grandchildren. Noreen was never one to shy away from the hard work and realized the importance of volunteerism. A proud community activist beginning as early as 1984, she dedicated her time to organizations that were important to her. This included volunteering for the Wheeling Township Flood Assistance (winning the Volunteer Service Award in 2004) and serving as the President of the Forest River Civic Association. In 2016, she moved into the world of political activism and proudly worked with We The People and Mark Michaels in electing Ann Gillespie to the Illinois State Senate 27th District. Noreen’s involvement in numerous communities allowed her to enjoy meeting new people and spreading her love with all those she encountered. Her passions extended beyond volunteerism, and Noreen dearly loved painting, traveling, and road trips with her family. With a dream to one day, “be somebody,” Noreen undoubtedly is seen by all those who knew her or were beneficiaries of her tireless work as “somebody.”
