하나님의 사랑하는 딸 황보순 권사님께서 2022년12월 19일 (월) 향년 94세로 하나님의 부르심을 받으셨습니다.
Po Sun excelled in everything she did and performed exceptionally in school. In September of 1944, at the age of 16, she married Jae Heung Kim, who was two years her senior and started a happy life together. They had a beautiful daughter, Ki Jung Kim, in January of 1949.
In 1950, the Korean War broke out and Po Sun's husband was abducted to North Korea, never to be seen again. She raised Ki Jung with much love, instilling strong values of hard work and dedication, all as a single mother. In March of 1973, Ki Jung married Dong Jin Joo and moved to the United States to join him. Three years afterwards, Po Sun moved to the United States to join them. In September of 1975 and June of 1979, she became an adoring grandmother to her grandchildren, Alison Joo and Jason Joo, respectively.
Po Sun is predeceased by her treasured daughter, Ki Jung, and survived by her loving son-in-law, Dong Jin, and beloved grandchildren, Alison and Jason. Her family, of both origin and chosen, were the light of her life. As a role model of faith, Po Sun wished to have a celebration of the immortality promised to all by her savior, Christ. Her favorite bible verse, 1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV, was recited to her by her dear daughter-in-law, Jiyoung Joo, days before her passing.
Words alone cannot express how much she will be missed. The family would like to extend their deepest and dearest gratitude to all who have provided her their invaluable love and support.
