I loved getting to know you Ray during your time at Notre Dame. More important than the time we shared in class were the times we would joke around and laugh after school. I can still hear your laugh today. Rest easy buddy.

I am so sorry to learn about the passing of Raymond. I met him in 2018 and he was such a caring and giving soul. He made you feel comfortable and was such an easy-going person. He had helped me with an issue I was struggling with at the time. I still remember the conversation we had that day. After that day, I felt like I could talk to him about anything. He was a very funny person too. I'm so sorry and he will be greatly missed. He will never be forgotten. Rest easy friend.

Ray was a wonderful young man and student at St. Raymond. He was an excellent member of our band program and I truly enjoyed teaching him.  I remember him very fondly.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family as you go through this difficult time

Ray's light will be one that's missed dearly. He could always make anyone laugh and he still does with these memories we hold close. I'm thankful for the time I got to spend with Ray. I have experiences I wouldn't have without him and those I will cherish forever.

Rest easy Ray we may have only been classmates back at ND but I always considered you a brother because of it fly high, you will be missed.

Ray was a ray of sunshine and always will be, I remember when we first met at YMCA camp as leaders in training. I could remember sitting down with him at a table laughing, making jokes, playing games with the campers. We started to get closer and asked me out. I will never forget that day. We were hanging out at the park, on the swings and asked if I’d be his girlfriend. It was the cutest thing. Ray was so full of light. Ray and I reconnected in during high school and hung out almost every weekend. I remember sitting in basement listening to music and watching movies. I will miss him so much, heaven gained a sweet, loving, and caring Angel! Agnew Family, I am so sorry for your loss. He will be in everyone’s heart and will be looking over you all!

Raymond and Jason went to school together at St. Raymond's and were great friends thru out the years. I remember them playing silly games in our basement and always laughing. His funny banter and lively personality always brought a smile to our faces. He was very funny and full of energy. He will be missed by all that have been a part of his life. We are so sorry for your loss that words can not express. We are thinking of the entire Agnew family during this very difficult time and wish you are deepest sympathy. The Childers Family

I met Raymond last year through my friend John me and Raymond shared and amazing bond we created music together and he eventually got put on my album and the whole album was released I’m so happy to say he’s a goat 🐐 forever going to be missed.

Our sincere condolences and prayers to Ray’s parents, sister, and the rest of his family and many friends for their loss. Ray and our son Ian graduated from ND together and have been good friends ever since. We know Ian valued Ray’s friendship so very much. Any time Ray was at our house he was always friendly, respectful, and his smile always brightened the room. We were so glad to see Ray recently. May all the wonderful memories you have of Ray help to get you through this difficult time. Ray clearly blessed the lives of everyone he knew during the time he spent with us. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

One of my favorite memories of Ray is from one of their trips to Florida.  We were at a New Years Eve party and I  “asked” him to dance.  Really it was more of a command and when he realized that he laughed and started dancing.   Kind- hearted and good natured we’re only two of his many qualities.   His passing leaves a hole in many hearts.

My favorite memory of Ray was at the racetrack last July. We had such a wonderful day together… Ray was in a great mood and we laughed a lot. 
Ray was loved by many, he was incredibly handsome, funny and sweet. He had such a wide circle of friends who were drawn to his charisma.
His laugh always made me smile. Trish and Mike opened their hearts and home to all of Rays friends and provided a safe refuge for them to gather and be together. The garage and basement will forever be Rays abode, he wanted to bring people together. Raymond, you will be missed by all of us. We still call Hawaiian rolls ‘Ray rolls’ because you always had them on your plate at Grandmas house. We love you Ray.

My favorite memories of Ray are from trips to Grand Rapids in the van.  He could prepare and feed Ronnie from a bottle with casual confidence while his Mom drove and his Washington cousins watched in awe.  Last summer at the race track, he stepped in to assist with technology when he saw me struggling.  Such a generous heart.  He will be missed by many.  

He was a coworker of mine, and from the few interactions I had with Ray, he was an easy-going, fun guy. An easily likeable guy. He was taken too soon. Condolences to his friends and family. 

It has been really tough for me since learning about Ray’s passing. He was such a charismatic, funny, and caring guy who you could talk to about anything. He was always really nice to me and always had my back. We could joke about anything, and we had a very similar sense of humor. One of the more recent memories I have is when we saw a man on a bike in the Wendy’s Drive-thru, we joked about how dedicated that man was to get his Wendy’s or that he was a doordasher trying to pay his bills. Another thing we did together was rap over different beats when we hung out. I liked providing the ad-lips to his lyrics, which would sometimes mess him up and cause us to laugh a lot. I always told him he was good at rapping especially freestyle. He played one of his own songs at my friend’s house and my friend and I remarked how it sounded like a normal radio song. He really appreciated us telling him that the song he made was great. All the times seeing him be comfortable around others really helped me get out of my own shell. He would talk to anyone and try to get to know them, he was everyone’s friend. Bringing people together was a gift of his. Everyone around him always had a smile on their face and his humor made everyone laugh. A part of Ray will always be within me and within all of us. You have changed our lives for the better and that will never be lost.

Raymond brought many happy memories to our family gatherings.  His kindness, humour, and affection will never be forgotten.  All of the Dodson's looked forward to his presence and catching up with him at family gatherings.   He was truly a 'one-in-a-million' gift to us.  We will always miss him and remember him with love.

I knew Ray since he started working with us. He brought so much joy to the job. He was also very knowledgeable about all topics he had a great sense of humor. He used to pick me up and give me a ride to work all the time. He was a great worker and very fast. He got to meet my family and eat tacos (he loved Mexican food) he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this tough time. 

I did not know Ray as well as some others, but from the interactions we had I saw what a truly good heart he had. He was so kind, and genuine which is honestly hard to find nowadays. He was also so funny, always made me smile. Such an amazing spirit, what a loss. I wish I had been able to get to know him more. It saddens me greatly that he is not with us all anymore, it is unbelievable. Praying for him and his family. <3 

Condolences on your loss. I only knew Ray from working with him for the past 6 months or so. I was very sorry to hear of his passing.

I knew my nephew Raymond most of his short life. I held him as an infant, listened as he spoke about his Scouting adventures, and congratulated him upon completion of high school. He was always engaged, polite, and especially differential to Grandpa Ray and Grandma Regie. Ray turned into the young man that we all came to know and love. His path was not always an easy one, but his smile and infectious laugh seemed to lift all our spirits. Our world will be more somber without him. We miss him dearly for all he was and for all he could have been.

Ray and our son Stefan went to St. Rays together and ND for freshman year.  I am so glad that they had remained friends through the years.  Ray was always so funny and personable and always so respectful.  Truly, such a wonderful young man.  We are so very sorry for your profound loss and know that his memory will be eternal.  His passing will be felt by all who were privileged to know him.  Thinking of the Agnew family and wishing you peace and strength.  Our deepest sympathies, The Salemi Family

Ray, my first baby cousin: I was obsessed with you from the first day I met you. I'm so proud of the person you became; you were always someone I could count on. I will miss your smile and laugh forever.

To Ray: I loved you before I was even born. As I was not in your life from the beginning, you were in mine. I wish you lived on to see me graduate high school or write my first song. Your an amazing brother. With all fun times to where you would splash me in the pool, to where you would shovel snow onto me from the flat roof I love you. -Ronnie 

I met Ray when were just 13.  From the day I met him up until the last time we spoke he was always the most genuine, kind, and loving person to be friends with.  He was the kind of friend that would always make me and everyone else around him feel included and made them feel like they mattered.  Being friends with Ray for the last 9 years has changed my life, he introduced me to all the friends I had in high school, some friends that I still have today.  Without him being there for me from a young age I’m not sure how my life would’ve been without him, he was such an incredible human being and I’m thankful every day for the time I got to spend with him.  His memory will live on with not only me but with every soul he’s ever touched, every person he’s ever positively impacted throughout his 22 beautiful years of life.  In the last year we weren’t as close as we used to be, but we will still occasionally reached out to each other, the last time we spoke was the morning before he passed and I’m thankful that I got one last conversation with him even though it was very brief.  I will cherish his contagious laugh in my memory forever, and I will always be grateful for the long-lasting friendship I had with Ray.  To the Agnew family, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss of Raymond my heart is aching for you all and I’m sending you so much love and prayers in this hard time. 


The moment I met Ray we were inseparable. Raymond wasn’t only my best friend, he was my brother. Over the years I’ve gotten to meet numerous new friends introduced to me by Ray whom all cared for and loved him deeply. I’m grateful to have met them all. Each Agnew has left a lasting mark in my life that has made me a better person. I constantly told Ray that I felt like he saved me from myself, because of the dark place I was in when we found each other. Ray’s light radiated so brightly I can confidently say that it washed over me, stealing my own darkness, and giving me hope in my life and in my future. He was the funniest, the smartest and the kindest person I’ve ever met in my 23 years. The memories and the lessons I’ve learned from him and his parents will live inside of my heart forever. From high school proms, graduations, summer concerts and our last laugh. I will cherish every single moment that he was apart of and I will bring his memory into the unknown future of my life. I truly can’t imagine it without him. My deepest condolences and sympathies to the Agnew family during this horrible tragedy of the loss of their amazingly talented and beautiful son.

Raymond was one of the first friends I had when I moved to Illinois. His family treated me so well and he introduced me to a great group of friends. I’ll never forget the memories we had and the times we had throwing a football together and being with him on thanksgiving feeing very thankful for him and his family. My heart hurts so much I couldn’t imagine this ever happening… my prayers go out to friends and family 🥺❤️

Ray and our son, Kyle, met in high school at ND.  Ray was always friendly and so personable whenever we saw him.  We have some funny memories of Ray.  We are deeply saddened to hear of his passing.  Mr & Mrs Agnew, we will keep you and your wonderful son in our prayers. Sending you peace and strength.

Words can’t express how grateful I feel to have known Ray and spent the time I had with him. I don’t think I’ll ever stop hearing his laugh or his voice in the back of my head. He had such a sweet and spontaneous soul. Not to mention how this man’s humor could make anybody cheer up. That’s all he ever wanted to do when he was with our friends, make people laugh. He made sure anyone that met him wouldn’t forget him, and that was my favorite part about Ray. Thanks to his spirit I’ll never forget the moments I shared with him, or the welcoming hearts of his family. His encouragement, support and contagious smiles have gotten me through nearly everything I’ve been through since I’ve met him. He was the type of friend to answer at 3 AM if you needed him, and the one who’d never forget a present for your birthday. He saved me from countless sticky situations and made me feel seen in a way no one ever has. I wish for him nothing but peace and rest. I will love and miss him dearly, and always. Like I said, words just don’t feel like enough. My deepest condolences to Mr & Mrs Agnew, and Veronica, as well as friends and other family.
