Stanley "Stas" Paul Zalewski

Born June 21, 1955, in Poland to the late Joseph and the late Eugenia Zalewski; he was the beloved husband of 39 years and spouse of 44 years to Cindy Zalewski (nee Kiolbasa). Having originally met in grammar school, Stas was notorious for picking on Cindy. However, their paths crossed later in life and from then on, they were inseparable. Together they had two wonderful children: Daniel (Annie Pfister) Zalewski and Stephanie (James) White. Stas is also survived by his adoring grandchildren, Amelia, Joscelyn, and Madelyn. Stas was the dear brother of the late Victor, the late Ted, and Harriet (the late Stas) Ignarski; cherished friend of Joe and Hector; fond brother-in-law of the late Donald Kiolbasa, Nancy (Lee) Michalowski, Marie Kiolbasa, and Steve (Debbie) Kiolbasa; and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Stas is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Victor and Ted; and grandson, Theodore. A proud veteran of the United States Army 101st Airborne and union member of IUOE Local 150 Midwest Operating Engineers, Stas will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
