Vito “Vic” Jacobellis 87, of Chicago, retired Chicago Police Officer, was born on November 3, 1934, to the late Michael and late Josephine Jacobellis and passed away October 21, 2022. Vito was the beloved husband of Eileen (nee Stransky) Jacobellis; loving father of Victor (Stefani) Jacobellis and Michelle Jacobellis; dear stepson of James LaForti; caring brother of Grace Wichert and the late James Vincent LaForti; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Vic proudly served the City of Chicago for over 30 years, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, collected and restored antique automobiles, and was an avid outdoorsman.
Visitation Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 3-8pm at Oehler Funeral Home 2099 Miner St., Des Plaines, IL, where services will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
