Alice R. Miller

Alice R. Miller (LaRosa) passed away on June 13, 2012. She was born on November 3, 1931, the daughter of Susan and Joseph LaRosa. She is preceded in death by her parents, Susan and Joseph LaRosa, her four brothers, Joseph, Bob, Jack, and Vince LaRosa; her husband Glenn Miller, and her daughter Susan Pedlar. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Don and Becky Mshar of Swoyersville, PA and her five children: Robert (Tracey) Miller, Linda (Bruce) Thiel, Richard (Roxanna) Miller, Cindy (Brian) Montibeller, all of Dexter, MI, and Randy Miller of Kremmling, CO. son-in-law, Fred Pedlar of Dexter, MI. She also is survived by her grandchildren: Shalimar (Tyson) Howard of South Lyon, MI, Justin (Sara) Miller of Dexter, MI, Amie (Paul) Hackworth of Marshall, MI, Angela (Anthony) Nelson of Makawao, HI, Nick Pedlar of Stockbridge, MI, Joe and Alice Montibeller of Dexter, MI Jennifer (Mike) Callahan of Seattle, Washington and Katie Hammer Columbus Ohio, her two great-grandchildren: Keaton and Zane Howard of South Lyon, MI. Alice, above all else, loved to take care of her loved ones. She was the undeniable matriarch and the cornerstone of her family. Her easy-going sense of humor and ability to laugh off life’s hardships made her a beacon to which all around her were drawn. She enjoyed going to the casino and had a real knack for winning. She had an insatiable sweet tooth and a love for anything lemon flavored. She enjoyed observing nature and could often be seen looking out her big bay windows at the birds or down by her pond feeding the fish, which acted more like her dogs as they would follow her along the shoreline. She took good care of her family, and they took good care of her. She was deeply loved and will be missed dearly. Visitation will be on Monday, June 18 from 1:00-2:00 at Dexter United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM.
