It’s been 3 years since I no longer can talk to my dear friend. She was a pillar of strength and could face anything with grace. I will miss her forever. I am sending love and very best wishes to her family. I sincerely hope you all are well and sharing your memories and that they find you peace within them.

Dear DeeDee, how I miss our talks and texts. I still can’t believe I can’t talk to you. I hope you are in a safe and peaceful place; together with Lee. I will always remember you calling my mom bubbles and how much she loved you. You shared birthdays and you never let me forget you were four months older than me. We had such a good time together in high school and beyond. 

DeeDee, was my best friend in high school, and she was my maid-of-honor at my wedding. She shared my mother's birthday and we shared names. So many memories of a strong, smart, and down-to-earth woman. She was my rock growing up and became it once again so many years later when we both lost our husbands. She loved her family fiercely, was so very proud of her sons and grandchildren. I will miss her terribly, and all our book reviews! Love, Diane (Vivian) Kolodziej-Collins.
