I'm sorry to hear of your father's passing. I just found out as I did a search for him. My dad has been trying to contact him for some time. My dad worked with your dad at Ford. He would visit your dad every year when he came into town. I met your dad when I was working as a police officer in Pinckney. I helped him find a grave of an old relative in the Pinckney cemetery from the Civil War era. He was a special guy and my dad loved and respected him. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear about your dads passing, I wish I had known, I would have come to the service! Our family's go back a long way, they met in the late 1940's, man that was a long time ago. We have sooooo many good memories, out at the lake jumping off the raft is just one of them. My brother's and sister and I are praying for all of you at this time and sending our best! 

In case you didn't know both Harry and Iris have passed, along with Michael and John. They are greatly missed but never out of our thoughts and hearts! 

We will continue to remember your parents fondly.

I met Jack at the Dexter Senior Center several years ago. We were neighbors even though I didn't know it until Imet him. He was one of my favorite people. He was fun to talk and joke with. He alway thought everyone should have a Ford!I owned a Honda.

To the Harper Family,  I just received word of your father's passing. Sorry we will not be able to join in the celebration of his wonderful and full life.  He was a wonderful neighbor.  When my husband needed information for restoring his Model T, we knew we could count on Jack.  Jack, however, could get himself into "situations".  One I recall in particular, he was mowing along his property line, around some trees.  He got the mower hung up in a large branch. Fortunately I was walking out to get the mail, so the two of us (with some struggle) managed to get him free.  We will miss his company and stories and adventures.  He has now taken the final adventure.  Love to you, Jack.

(This is message you should have received.) I also met Jack  at the Dexter Senior Center. I found out he had bought the Sukouski Place from the Geers. My husband's family were long time friends of the Sukouskis. Jack was a neighbor of my grandson when he lived on the Driver Farm. Jack loved telling me stories of the days when he lived on Fourth Street in Ann Arbor after the war. My grandson's maternal grandparents: George and Edna Finbeiner lived next door. Jack asked me about their son Johnnie when I talked to him last month. I am so glad I got to talk to him that day. Jack was a great guy; it was my pleasure to have known him. My sincerest sympathy to hie family.

We knew Jack for over 30 years. We are happy to have had a man of such character in our lives. We will miss the twinkle in those blue eyes as he told one of his many jokes or "I was driving a...", stories. We will miss the phone calls, the car advice and the ALL FORD RANCH !!!! Thanks for sharing one of your last smiles with me.

I got to know Jack through the sr center. He had a great smile and made me laugh.  I loved the stories, including his work with the Edsel.

I had the privilage of knowing Jack during my time at the Dexter Senior Center.  He was a bright spot in my day. A true gentleman with a wonderful sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with Kathy and his family.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Jack was a great guy.  We had a lot of good times together  going to flea-markets.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Harper where I work at the schools and he would stop and visit my office frequently on his way to lunch at the senior center.  I loved to listen to his stories and his logic of life. When he got a funny look one day sitting in my chair he said, "Don't you normally get visitors here? People gonna talk about us?" - He then chuckled at this won joke - I loved it.  He spent months convincing me my vehicle was junk (only to find out later he wanted to really purchase it).  A great man who brightened my day even if with a simple wave and a smile. Thoughts and prayers to family and friends.
