Kathryn Jean Waggoner

Waggoner (Mast), Kathryn J. 88 years, passed away at home on December 12, 2014. She was born May 13, 1926 in Webster Township, the daughter of Carl and Emma (Berner) Mast. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, whom she married August 19, 1950. She is survived by son Mark (Janeen) Waggoner of Littleton, Colorado, daughter Beth (Jeff) Russell of Goshen, Ohio, granddaughters Kelly Russell and Rylee Waggoner, step-grandchildren Eric (Lindsey) Russell and Megan Russell, great-granddaughter Harper Jones and step-great-granddaughter Rozalyn Russell. She is also survived by a brother Robert Mast of Dexter, two sisters; Mary Anne (Gary) Hansen of Traverse City, Michigan and Linda (Ron) Kociba of Harbor, Michigan, brother-in-law Stan Toney of Denver, Colorado, several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was a member of St. Andrews United Church of Christ, Dexter American Legion Auxiliary Unit 557 and the Dexter Senior Center. She graduated from Dexter High School with the class of 1944 as Valedictorian. Visitation will be at the Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel on Monday, December 15, 2014, from 5 to 7pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Andrews United Church of Christ, 7610 Ann Arbor Street, Dexter, MI with visitation at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will take place at the Forest Lawn Cemetery immediately following the service. A luncheon will then be held in the Fellowship Hall at St. Andrews United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrews Church or the Dexter Senior Center.
