DeAngelo, Linda Lee of Whitmore Lake, Michigan died Thursday, August 18, 2016, she was 74 years of age. Linda was born in Los Angeles, California the daughter of Harry Ulysses and Bertha Catherine (Scheele) Brewer. Linda attended St. Vincent’s LA-Nursing School and EMU earning her BSN. From the beginning, Linda was a resourceful and hard working person, struggling to make ends meet while putting herself through college, at the same time caring for and putting her children through school. No matter how tough the road was, there was always food on the table and her two children were well cared for. A believer in angels she never saw that she was the embodiment of an angel herself while caring for others and working as a nurse at, Kaiser Health Systems, Pacific State Hospital, Pomona Valley Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital in Livonia and Beaumont Hospital of Royal Oak. She was also a traveling nurse in Lebanon, West Virginia and Connecticut; giving her all and always caring for others. Although she would let you know if you crossed the line, by repeating her mantra “I wasn’t put on this earth for your happiness!” she was always caring for others until the end. She worked as a nurse just a few days before she died. Linda was known to enjoy a good glass of wine and a bowl of Haagen-Dazs with Baileys; she loved to travel and believed in the healing touch. She lived life to the fullest and truly loved her life. She was a member of AARP, Dexter Senior Center, Northfield Community Center and Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing. When her granddaughter was born Linda began to take every Friday off to care for, love and nurture her beloved granddaughter Katerina. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children; L. Michael (Kris) DeAngelo and Lisa DeAngelo, sisters; Penelope Muff and Kay Schubert, granddaughter; Katerina DeAngelo, niece, Michelle (Harry) Fields, Christy (Greg) Signorio, nephew; Tim (Carol) Pettis, half-sister; Velma Clem, further niece and nephews; Kurt Smith, Randy Clem, Terry Clem and Lynn Clem. She was preceded in death by her parents; Harry and Bertha, aunt; Amy Scheele and half-sister; Carolyn Smith. Visitation will be Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel of Dexter from 3-7 p.m. A funeral service will take place at the Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel on Monday August, 22, at 10 a.m. May her memory be eternal.
