Attached is a photo of Ruth and Dave Ardelean visiting our Hess Farm many years ago in 1953-54. This was a fun time for all of us cousins to get acquainted and they came from Detroit to our Hess Farm in The Irish Hills near Brooklyn, MI. We had two horses, cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, Blue Boy the bull, and rabbits later and 300 - 400 Beef Cattle. Our parents helped us learn how to work, garden and enjoy the three Lakes nearby of which two were on our Shawnee Shores Lake Development. We also sang in our Hess Trio many wonderful Christian Songs in our Brooklyn Baptist Church.

Ruth was a dear cousin a bit older than me and quite serious. But the summer she and her brother spent a couple weeks from the city to our farm, she was excited each day to get outside. Ruth`s enthusiasm was motivational to me being the eldest because I often had to help my dad on the farm.

It is with joy and comfort that along with her siblings, I will spend eternity with Ruth because of our trust in Jesus as Saviour!

I am so glad we got to know our cousin Ruth when she and her younger brother David came for a visit on our Hess Farm near Wamplers Lake, Brooklyn, MI for a week in our younger years. My sister Nancy and I were able to meet Ruth in Lansing for lunch and it was a nice time to catch up on our lives together probably in 2000 or so. So Thankful we will all be together in Heaven someday with Jesus Our Savior.
