Tim worked for the Washtenaw County Road Commission and retired after 30 years of dedicated service.
His love of farming began at an early age on his parents farm. From there he worked for Breuninger and Trinkle farms until his untimely passing. Tim loved spending time with "Uncle" Brian and all of his good friends and neighbors. He was always quick with a funny joke or a great story. He looked forward to the fall as he was an avid hunter. He shared this love of hunting and fishing with his kids and grandkids. His grandkids loved their time with Grampie and he was a great babysitter. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold & Hazel Gross, his sister Beverly Hirth and brothers Louis Knickerbocker and Harold (Butch) Gross. He is survived by wife of 37 years- Nancy, daughters Jessica (Patrick) St. Amour, Jennie (Jason) Weinmann and son Tim (Anna Romine) Gross. Five grandchildren- Parker and Allison St. Amour and Aiden, McKenzie and Colton Weinmann. He is also survived by his brothers Lawton (Virginia) Gross, Bob (Sandy) Knickerbocker and sister Debbie (Mike) Phillips, as well as many nieces and nephews. Tim's hard work, uncanny sense of humor and willingness to lend a hand will be greatly missed. Although he is no longer with us we will have memories and stories to cherish...he will never be forgotten.
