My sincere condolensces to Melanie, Kendall, Gareth, Roycie and your families. Your parents will always be remembered by all those who knew them. I just heard that Royce passed away and I wanted to share my respects to you all. Some of my favorite times were running down to the Little River Trading Post to pick up things for Gramma & Grandpa Denton, especially when we got to add our popsicles to their account. Then later being able to fill up the truck with gas on our dad's account. Your father always had a smile and was so kind. We were all so lucky to have known him and to have had the joy of growing up in Little River, in such a great community. Rest in Peace Royce. Sincerely, Katherine

My Mom Evelyn Nesbitt and myself Ginger MacKenzie are just realizing that Royce has passed away. We have many warm heartfelt memories of Royce and Joan. I as a teenager worked at their store, they were the kind of people I hoped I could be as an adult. Kind , generous and so thoughtful of others. They were in the position of being able to help people when they needed it most, allowing people to get groceries and gas when they didn't have enough money to pay. They were people I looked up to all my life. My mother Evelyn Nesbitt ( 89yrs.) due to illness had to leave her home in Little River about 5 years ago. Royce at that time told her " just tell us what you want and we will bring it to you" . My mother used that "offer" in her defense to never need to leave her home!!! Royce and Joan looked after people, that's what they did , they will be forever missed. 

Royce Was one of the first people I met in Little River at his store. I thought how quaint the store and his demeanor was. He was so authentic and welcoming. He helped to make my decision to have a home in Little River. Last summer he informed me that he might not be in Little River when I returned this summer. It saddened me to think that such a lovely man with such a loving family would not be there this summer. In reality he will be everywhere in Little River. My condolences to the immediate family and his Little River family.

Royce  and Joan was certainly a part of my life growing up in Little River. Royce was an intricate part of Ralph and Brent’s life. His kindness to Brent was surpass able. He was truly an amazing person and it was a privilege to know him.  He will be greatly missed. Jean Denton (Amirault) condolences to his family.

Sincere sympathy to Kendall (Ruthie),  Gareth (Kelli), Royce (Jana),  Melanie (Junior),  and families,  because of your great loss. 
Kendall,  Gareth,  Royce,  Melanie,  we had great respect for your Dad as a Christian,  friend,  neighbour,  deacon,  S.  S.  teacher,  business man, and for his sense of humour. Example,  'Are you cracking up? '
We didn't know Royce was ailing and hospitalized. Today (Friday)  Jeff brought us a copy of the announcement of his passing. Jeff will be working Saturday. You boys were a special part of his life while we were in Little River. 
Because of governmental recommended travel restrictions we have decided,  with regret,  not to attend visitation Saturday. 
At this time of loss, may you know God's compassion, His grace, His love, His comfort. 
Though we know heaven has welcomed a very special person, our hearts still feel the sorrow. 
May the love of God surround you in the days ahead.

We first came to Nova Scotia a year-and-a-half ago and stopped at the store. When we decided to live in Little River we enjoyed stopping in and seeing Royce.  He made us feel  very welcome and immediately wanted us to sign his book. Since our initial meeting we enjoyed stopping in to buy something and visit with him. He was great to teach us the history of the area and the people. Our condolences to the family, whom we've also come to care about. Wish we weren't so far away or we'd be at the service.  

Our sincere condolences to the entire family on the passing of your loved one. We had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Royce on quite a few occasions while on Digby Neck visiting with mom and Allison Merritt. He was a very pleasant, sincere and loving man. Hugs to everyone.

Royce was such an amazing man of God. He was definitely a pillar of our community and church. He was a wonderful neighbor. We miss him already. Love and prayers for his family during this difficult time.
