Tanner, Bertha Lillian- 89 of Deep Brook. Bertha passed away September 15th in the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born in Digby, Bertha was a daughter of the late Walter and Alice (Haynes) Barnes. Bertha will be missed by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by daughter Barbara (Linwood) Rice, Lequille; sons Charles (Debra), Deep Brook; John (Kelli), Spruce Grove, Alb.; 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Bertha was the last surviving member of her immediate family, besides her parents Bertha was predeceased by her husband Joseph Tanner, sisters Hilda Bremner, Beatrice Gregory, Mildred Milbury, Eileen Ring and Blanche Barnett. Visitation 7-9pm Sunday September 19th, with Funeral Service 11am Monday September 19th, both from Jayne’s Funeral Home (902-245-2525) 7 Birch St., Digby. Canon Kenneth Vaughn Presiding.
