

Carl moved to Toronto at the age of 18, when he began a career at the Canadian Insurance Bureau that spanned over forty years. He was an avid fisherman and a big sports fan, he loved to support the teams from Toronto. Though he wasn’t a player, Carl greatly enjoyed the time he spent coaching his sons in hockey, and in later years the local mens hockey team.
Carl is survived by his sons, Leonard Thibodeau, Rene (Marilyn) Thibodeau; sister, Nora Ogden; grandchildren, Adam, Brett, Chad, Sean and Ryan, as well as 9 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by wife, Beverley Thibodeau; son, David (Lorraine) Thibodeau; sister, Katherine (Nunnie) Shaw; brothers, Clayton Thibodeau, Kenneth Thibodeau and Harold Thibodeau.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, May 19th at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Doucetteville, with Father Raymond to officiate. Donations in memory of Carl can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia. Share a memory or leave a condolence at www.jaynesfuneralhome.com.
