With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to caring for others. She was a hardworking woman whose kindness and generosity defined her every day. For over 50 years, she kept boarders in her home, offering not just a place to stay, but warmth, compassion, and a sense of belonging to all who crossed her path.
Her faith in her Lord and Saviour was the foundation of her life and was evident in the way she lived, through her selflessness, her willingness to help anyone in need, and her unwavering love for others. She lived her faith powerfully, leading by example.
She was immensely proud of her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and spoke of them often with love and joy. She always said she had the best husband ever, and their life together was a testament to love, partnership, and devotion.
She also knew how to enjoy life. She loved to shop, and Christmas was her favourite time of year. She shopped right up to the very last day and delighted in going all out with decorations, filling her home with warmth, beauty, and holiday cheer.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of faith, generosity, and love will live on in the many lives she touched.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 18 at 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 8 Martin’s Lane, Plympton, NS where Funeral service will also be held Friday morning at 11 with reception to follow. Graveside burial will follow.
