

It is with deep sadness to announce Clyde Kelly Milbury, 54, passed away on the 8th of August 2017 at Digby General Hospital. He was born on August 31, 1962 in Digby, Nova Scotia to Elaine (Titus) Milbury and the late Clyde Milbury. Kelly grew up in Digby, Nova Scotia where he attended School, moving on to be a Scallop Fisherman at a young age. Kelly began work on deck as a Scallop Fisherman where he worked for nearly 40 years. Although a skipper for the better part of his life, he had been well known in the fishing industry as one of the most hard-working individuals, on and off the boat. His scallop shucking speed was admirable, so much so, that he had entered and won many a competition in Digby and Lunenburg. In his spare time, he enjoyed all types of music, Nascar racing, skating and many other enjoyable pass times. He was a beloved Father, Husband, Son, Brother, Nephew and Friend. His vibrant personality will be deeply missed. Kelly was preceded in death by his Father Clyde and Brother Matthew. He is survived by his spouse Mabel of Belleville, Nova Scotia; his daughter Michelle (Jimmy) Nielsen of Spruce Grove, Alberta; his mother, Elaine Milbury; siblings all from Digby, Nova Scotia Daniel (Ruby) Milbury, Billy (Shannon) Milbury; and his sisters Judy (Randall) Isles; and Carolyn Denton; his step-grandchildren Chloe, Aizlin, Brookelyn; his niece Kaylynn and nephews Johnathan, Justin, Jason, Aaron, and Aiden, along with many other relatives. A memorial service will be held at Jaynes Funeral Home - 7 Birch Street Digby, Nova Scotia at on Friday August 11, 2017 at 11am. As per Kelly’s wishes there will be no visitation. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at 10 am Friday August 11, 2017. Burial will follow at Union Burial Grounds in Lake Midway, Nova Scotia.
