David Wayne VanTassel

VanTassel, David Wayne – Age 64 of Gulliver’s Cove passed away at home on April 17, 2017. Born in Digby, he was a son of the late Keith VanTassel and Barbara Cranidge. David was a hardworking man who owned his own fish plant for over 35 years; he will always be remembered by his family and friends for his love, kindness and generosity. He loved and cherished his wife and was very proud of his children, especially his two grandsons. David is survived by his wife, Judy VanTassel (Conrad); daughter, Julie (Ian) Sweet; son, Davey (Debi) VanTassel; grandchildren, Myles and Malcolm Sweet; step granddaughter Melanie Thomas and her two sons Rowan and Hunter; sisters, Gloria, Linda(Wayne), Bonnie(David), brothers, Chucky (Eleanor), Terry (Paulette), Randy, Teddy (Diane), Perry (Cheryl), Dale (Bridget), Calvin (Wanda), Troy (Vicky) also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his sister, Sandra. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A service celebrating David’s life will be at 2pm, Saturday April 22nd at Rossway Baptist Church. Pastor Linda DeMone will preside with interment in Rossway Community Cemetery.
