Edna Blanche Deion

Deion, Edna Blanche, age 91, of Conway, formerly of Weymouth North, passed away April 27, 2023 at Digby General Hospital. Born in Weymouth North, she was a daughter of the late Charles Weaver and Ethel (Raymond) Weaver.

Edna owned and operated a successful convenience store for many years, was active in the ACW of St. Peter’s and St. Thomas Anglican Church and actively participated in the Weymouth Historical Society Weekly Teas. She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, embroidering, word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and watching the Toronto Bluejays. Edna spent many hours in her flower and vegetable gardens which she took great pride in.

Edna is survived by her daughters, Diane (Stewart) Thibault of Plympton Station, Elaine Deion of Weymouth North and Holly Trefry of Conway; sisters, Lennie McCullough, New Ross, Judy Melanson, Weymouth North; brothers, Burgess Weaver, Weymouth North, Penson Weaver, Weymouth North as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edna was predeceased by sons, Richard and Michael as well as siblings, Henry, James (Jimmy), Phyllis and Anna.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. There will be no visitation by request. A committal will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Edna may be made to a charity of choice. Please share a memory or leave a condolence at www.jaynesfuneralhome.com
