

Emilie “Millie” Rose Blinn – Age 94 of Plympton, passed away June 30th, 2017 in Tideview Terrace. She was a daughter of the late Donald and Mary C. (Melanson) Amero. Millie worked at Snow’s Fisheries in her younger years and then later as post mistress at Plympton Post Office for 18 years until her retirement. Millie was a member of Holy Cross Church, Plympton and member of New Horizon Club. She had numerous friends throughout her life and enjoyed playing cards and travelling. Millie is survived by sons, Ronald (Brenda) Blinn of Burns Lake, B.C. and Don Blinn (Ray Breton) of Digby; grandchildren, Debbie, Bonnie, Jackie; several great and great great-grandchildren and her brother, Donnie (Thelma) Amero of Woods Harbour. Besides her parents Millie was predeceased by her husband, Louis John Blinn; sisters, Lillie, Dorothy, Blanch; brothers, Vernon, Lenis, Lloyd and Joseph “Bosie”. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9, Sunday July 2nd from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby (902-245-2525). Funeral Service at 11am, Monday June 3rd from St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 110 Queen St., Digby. Father Vincent Onyekelu will preside the Mass with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Plympton. Donations in memory can be made to Canadian Diabetes Association.
