

Ernie was a lobster fisherman. In the summer months, he and Bessie liked to hand line fish together. Ernie also enjoyed hunting deer and rabbit, once his workday was over he’d swap his fishing boots for hunting boots. He was a sharpshooter and was at home in the woods and very aware of his surroundings. He enjoying 4-wheeling and going out for walks. Ernie absolutely loved his family and grandchildren.
Ernie is survived by his wife, Bessie; daughter, Heidi; sons, Michael and Brent; grandchildren, Lisa, Rebekah, Riley, Madison, Chelsea, Alex; 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ernie was predeceased by his brothers, Ralph and Phillip; nephew, David and an infant son, Nicholas who passed at birth.
A graveside service will take place on September 16, 2022 at 11am in Hillcrest Cemetery in Little River, Rev. Tim Long presiding.
Donations in Ernie’s memory may be made to Tideview Terrace, the Livewell Community Church or Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia.
