Evelyn Miller

It is great sadness “we” the Miller family announce the loss of our mother, Evelyn Miller who passed away on Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 at the age of 92. She was a loving mother to her family; a loving wife to her husband, the late Bevis Miller and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Evelyn is survived by daughter, June Drummond; daughter in-law, Kim Miller; sons, Lamont (Sandy), Sheldon (Wendy), Christopher, Timothy; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by son, Ivan Miller; daughter, Rebecca Miller; son in-law, William Drummond. Evelyn was one of the founders and a board member of Acaciaville Conway Betterment Association, whom she actively fundraised for. She was a church member of Acaciaville United Baptist Church; member of the Ladies Auxillary; Women’s Institute and the Aiders. She chaperoned teen dances along with birthday, Halloween and Christmas parties at Acaciaville-Conway Community Centre. Evelyn was a cheerful person who was always laughing; she loved to tease and joke. She was dedicated to her family, friends and her community and she was loved by everyone. She loved sharing Stories with her family and friends, watching baseball (Toronto Blue Jays) and watching hockey (Toronto Maple leafs) with Mr. J. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9, Tuesday, September 5th, 2017 from Jayne's Funeral Home, Digby. A celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held at 1pm Wednesday September 6th from Acaciaville Baptist Church. Pastor Roy Bertaux and Pastor Theresa Character Presiding. Reception to follow at the Church Hall.
