Ms Ida Josephine Francis

Francis, Ida Josephine – 51, Digby, passed away November 3, 2010 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Digby on November 25, 1958 she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Angela Francis. Ida enjoyed life, such as spending time at Bonnie-Lee Farms in Chester, and working in the bakery at Flower Cart in New Minas. As well Ida enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics for many years. Ida has resided at Conway Workshop for the past 20 years. Ida is survived by brothers Mike (Susan) Francis, Newport; Peter (Sharon) Francis, Smith’s Cove; nephew Jason Francis, nieces Michelle Dunbar and Annette Mumford, along with four great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ida is predeceased by a sister Carolyn “Connie” Francis. Visitation will be held 7-9pm Friday, in Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St. Digby (245-2525) where the funeral will be held 11am Saturday. Father Keith Billard presiding. Interment in Harbourview Cemetery, Smith’s Cove. Special thanks to the staff of Digby General Hospital, Conway Workshop, and the ICU in Yarmouth.
