Doucette, Jesse – 94 of Marshalltown, passed away in Digby General Hospital on July 15, 2012. Born in Brighton, Jesse was the last of thirteen siblings to the late Edward and Margaret (Hatfield) Doucette. Jesse was a loving husband and father who took great joy in watching his family grow to 54 members and with pride he would say “Prim, look what we started”. Jesse is survived by daughter, Doreen (Les) Barrett, New Minas; sons, Alwin and Sherwin, both of Marshalltown; Rodney (Linda), Brighton; Roger (Fern), Hillsburn; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren. Jesse was predeceased by wife, Primrose, daughter, Carolyn, grandsons, Dustin and Matthew, five sisters and seven brothers. Visitation 7-9pm, with prayers at 8pm, Tuesday July 17th, from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St., Digby (245-2525). Funeral Mass, 11am Wednesday July 18th in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Digby. Father Keith Billiard presiding. Interment in Madonna Cemetery, Marshalltown.
