Lester William Barr

Born in Weaver Settlement Sept 9, 1933, he was a son of the late William C. and Laura (Lewis) Barr.

For forty years he worked with his brother Gordon on Gordon’s mink ranch where he took a great interest. He enjoyed nature and spent much time taking care of his woodlands. He enjoyed racing snowmobiles and won many trophies in competing. He was a charter member of Weymouth Church of Christ.

Lester is survived by sisters, Della Prime, Weymouth; Dora Bell, Weymouth; brother, Rev. Sendel Barr, Iowa, U.S.A.; nephew, Clarence Prime, Weymouth, niece, Shanna Prime, Weymouth and sister in-law, Hilda Barr. He was predeceased by sister, Annie Dennison; brother, Gordon Barr; infant sister, Jean; brothers-in-law, Albert Dennison, Forrest Prime and W. Granthan Bell.

Visitation will be 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Wednesday June 13th at Jayne's Funeral Home in Weymouth North. Funeral Service at 2:00pm Thursday June 14, 2018, at Weymouth Church of Christ with Pastor Craig Glavin presiding. Interment in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to charity of choice.
