It is with great sadness that the family of Lois (Barr) Wagner announces her peaceful passing at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on December 15, 2025. Though it saddens us, we also rejoice in the fact that she has now moved on to her Heavenly home with her Lord and Saviour.
Lois was born in Weaver Settlement on June 21, 1936 to the late Hector and Alice (Tooker) Barr. Except for a few years in Ontario, Lois lived her whole life in the Weymouth area.
Lois leaves behind sons, Larry Wagner, Harry Wagner Jr; daughter, Linda (Ted) Marr; daughter in laws, Terry Wagner, Cindy Dar Wagner; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Carol (Walter) MacAlpine; sister in law Lorraine Barr and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Wagner; sons, Richard Wagner and Robert Wagner; brothers, Ricky, Glen (Rilla) and Donnie.
Lois was a dedicated member of the Weymouth Church of Christ, where she attended faithfully right up until the day before her passing. She was a hard worker, a stay at home wife and mother. She was often seen outside planting her garden or caring for her beautiful dahlias. She couldn't wait for spring so she could get her shovel out. Another passion of hers was picking blueberries. She would spend days picking blueberries, sharing some with friends and filling the freezer to make sure she had lots to put a few on her cereal every morning.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 12:30 to 2:00 at the Weymouth Church of Christ where Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm. Committal service will take place in the church cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Weymouth Church of the Christ or to a charity of your choice.
