Margie "Bi-lo" Minard

The family of the late Margie Helen Minard, "aka Bi-lo", age 95, are saddened to announce her passing on Saturday, December 10, 2016. For anyone to have known her knows her strong faith and sense of style. Her genuine love and compassion for everyone she encountered is how she would want to be remembered. Special thanks to the support of Digby/Claire Home Support and VON to assist in keeping with the wishes of Bilo to remain in home until her death. She considered all workers her friends and looked forward to every visit. She is survived by daughter, Beulah; son-in-law, Ches; daughter-in-law, Judy Minard, Lawrencetown. She was the oldest of six children and survived by the remaining siblings; Ann Wynn, Tom Franklin, Jim Franklin, Carl Franklin and Harold Franklin. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Paul Minard, who gave her the designation of Bi-lo (Betty), Heather Taylor (Julian), Pam Shears and great-grandson, Charles. She was predeceased by parents, Thomas and Beatrice Franklin; her husband, Orbin Minard; son, Roger Minard. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 2-4, Friday December 30th from Jayne's Funeral Home, Digby. Funeral Service will be 11am, Saturday December 31 at Hillgrove Baptist Church. Memorial donations can be made to Victorian Order of Nurses, Home Care (Digby/Clare Support) or charity of choice.
