Tuesday, May 27, 2025 Paula Ecker went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She was the only daughter of the late Raymond and Pauline Moore. Paula was born in Annapolis on July 23, 1942. She grew up and mainly resided in Deep Brook all of her life. Paula was a loving wife of 64 years to her husband Bob and together they raised three children. Her heart was always devoted to her family and her home she she showed much joy in sharing God's love to her family, friends and community. Paula was a dedicated member of Deep Brook Baptist Church serving as the church secretary, teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir, a pianist and the founder of a musical group "The Sunshine Singers". She enjoyed tole painting and sewing and Paula was also a published author of two books, "Stories My Brother Told Me" and "Treasured Memories". Paula was a great lover of the beach and enjoyed teaching her grandchildren how to make "Sailors Valentines" out of shells and rocks.
Paula is survived by her loving husband, Robert (Bob) Ecker, her eldest daughter Nancy and husband Ian Weir (grandchildren Catherine, Sarah-Jane and Hannah) Christina and her husband Matthew White (grandchildren Molly, Luke, and Grace) and James and his wife Tracy (grandchildren Joseph Miranda and Nadia). Paula also has nine great grandchildren who fondly called her "GG".
Paula is also survived by her much loved little brother Robert Shippy Moore. She also has many nieces and nephews that were very special and more like brothers and sisters to her. Family and many friends will miss her listening ear and gentle manner. A service of remembrance will take place at Deep Brook Baptist Church Saturday, May 31st at 2 PM. Bob is inviting people to come to the house following the service for light refreshments. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Paula.
