A true outdoorsman, Peter found pleasure in hunting and fishing, especially his annual May 17th fishing trips with the boys. He swore by skin so soft as the best bug repellant ever. He liked to tie his own flies and cook, infamous for his curly fries served from the back of his truck. During ball season you could find him at the ball field helping out in any way he could.
He loved to work outside, involved in construction in various parts of the province ending his career with the Dept. of Transportation here in Digby, where he drove snow plow and dispatched. Dad always smiled when he lifted the blade of the plow when he went by the driveway.
Predeceased by his parents, Carl and Della Saulnier and sister Betty (Bob) Chalmers. Survived by his siblings, Judy (Don) Williams, Mt. Uniacke, Christine (Rick) Wright, Clementsport, AnneMarie (Dave) LeCour, Dartmouth, Stephen (Kathy), Stellarton, Mary, Karen, Paul (Susan), all of Digby. Many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
Cremation has taken place with a private service at a later date.
Peter knew a lot of people and had many friends. If you’re reading this please remember him for his kind and gentle soul. Thank you for your friendship towards him. In his memory try to be nice to each other, it’s getting harder and harder to do in this world.
To our brother Peter, may there be a beautiful welcome for you in the home you are going to, and may you find peace and happiness in the presence of those who really love and care for you.
Godspeed Peter, xo
