Robert "Bobby" Jorden Bell

June 13, 1945 – July 6, 2025

BELL, Robert Jorden - Age 80, of Barton, Digby Co. Passed away at home on July 6, 2025. Born in Digby, he was the son of the late Betty (Sabean) and Donald Bell.

Bobby was a hardworking man who spent much of his life in the woods, finding purpose and peace in logging and forestry work. He deeply loved his four grandchildren and took pride in every moment spent with them.

In retirement, Bobby could often be found parked in his favourite spots around town — people joking he was “running radar” as he people-watched. He looked forward to morning coffee with his coffee crew, always ready with a good story or laugh. A proud bargain hunter, he loved finding a deal and never missed a chance to brag about it. At home, he enjoyed the quiet companionship of his cat, Snoopy.

Bobby is survived by his wife Beverly (Sullivan) Bell; son Wayne (Tammy) Bell; step children Wendy (Sherry) Gosson, Jim Gosson, Penny (Glenn) Foster, John (Laura) Gosson. Siblings Ronnie (Delia) Bell, Arnold (Virginia) Bell, Sandra (Mike) Cloney and Tanya (Chris) Whynacht. Grandchildren Allison Bell, Danielle Wilson, Taylor Theriault, Kennedy Cottreau and great granddaughter Charlee Theriault.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 6-8pm at Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. A funeral service will be held on July 25th, 2025, at 11am, also from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. Following the funeral a reception will be held in the dining room of Captain's Cabin restaurant for anyone who like to attend. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
