Mr. Theodore "Terry" Joseph Duran Jr.

Duran, Theodore “Terry” Joseph – 62 of Weymouth, passed away February 25, 2010 in Yarmouth Hospital surrounded by his family. Born February 16, 1948, he was a son of Catherine “Kay” (Melanson) Duran, Weymouth and the late Theodore “Ted” Vernon Duran. Terry was an avid hunter and enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden. Terry looked forward to drives in his Mustang when he wasn’t working hard in the woodpile and mink ranch. Terry was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with family especially his grandchildren. Terry is survived by his wife Sandy; daughters, Tina (Kevin) Raymond, Wolfville; Tera(Les) Scanlan, Digby; sons, Derek Duran and Arthur Duran, both of Weymouth; sisters, Suzanne (Larry) King, Doucetteville; Sheila (Gordon) O’Neil, Marshalltown; Joanne (Tim) Theriault, Sackville; brother, Robert (Claudette) Duran, Weymouth; grandchildren, Brittany, Derek Jr., Katelyn, Kelsey, Cassandra and Braeden; many nieces and nephews. Terry was predeceased by his sister, Rosemary Duran. Visitation will be 6-9 Monday in Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St., Digby where a funeral service will held 11:00am Tuesday, Pastor Mark Cress officiating. Donations in Terry’s memory can be made to the IWK (Cancer Wing); Children’s Wish Foundation or the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program.
