Wendy Christina Thomas

Wendy began working at age 11 at Bon E Lass in Smiths Cove, then waitressing at 12 years old. She worked for DND in Cornwallis for 10 years, worked as a manager for Wendy’s Restaurant of Canada (Calgary), she then worked with individuals with disabilities for Scope (Calgary) and the Conway Workshop. Wendy loved many things including, skating, snowboarding, reading, hiking, walking, watching birds, planting flowers, hot air ballooning, dog sledding, music, travel and cooking. She also loved flowers, music played on the flute and spending time with her family and friends.

Wendy is survived by her son, Corey (Yukiko) Thomas of Digby; sister, Kathy (Phil) Robinson of Annapolis, sister in law, Diane Robinson; grandchildren, Brook Rae Thomas of Calgary, Sola Imaizumi Thomas, Digby; nephews, Matthew (Natasha) Robinson, Jonathan Robinson, Aaron (Danielle) Robinson; great niece and nephews, Lauren, Spencer and Jace and Julia.

Beside her parents, Wendy was predeceased by her son, Patrick and brothers, Patrick, Jackie and Steve.

Cremation will take place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 2pm on November 28, 2022 at Jayne’s Funeral Home in Digby, Mark Cress to officiate with burial in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery at a later date.
